The Finishers, FBC Dover’s Senior Ministry:

The “Finishers” are all those FBC Dover attendees over fifty-five years old. The Finishers seek to maximize life, build relationships and finish their Christian walk through continued service to the Lord. They represent an active and welcoming ministry group that offers regular fellowship, food and fun.

A widow focused ministry called “Seasons of Change” meets with regular lunches, special speakers and music.

Future events for various groups include musical outreach to nursing homes and memory care units, Thanksgiving and Christmas parties, outings and trips to destinations such as Mount Dora, the Creation Museum and Noah’s Ark in Northern Kentucky. Upcoming events for 2023 and 2024 include a Vietnam Vet Brunch with Bob Smoker, a hymn and chorus “sing,” a lady’s craft day with Miss Bethany, a boardgame night, ice cream sundae night, and a Mexican theme taco “Fiesta.”
