Worship Ministry
The Worship Ministry of First Baptist Dover has a place of service for all those interested in music, media, drama, art, etc. Our purpose is to proclaim the life-changing power of Jesus Christ through music. The purpose of worship at our church is not just about music and what takes place within a musical aspect of worship. It’s about living a life of worship 24/7, with our jobs, our relationships, our finances, the way we spend our time, AND the communion of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
First Dover Choir
The purpose of First Dover Choir is to proclaim to a lost world the life-changing power of salvation found in Jesus Christ and to proclaim to Christians the life-changing power of worship in a believer’s life.
This ministry is exciting because of the tremendous calling and responsibility we have to lead the way to the King! As part of our team, we offer encouragement and seek not only to lead you musically but to minister to your spiritual and social needs. Besides these, the choir is just plain fun and a great time of fellowship!

First Dover Orchestra
The purpose of First Dover Orchestra is to proclaim to a lost world the life-changing power of salvation found in Jesus Christ and to proclaim to Christians the life-changing power of worship in a believer’s life.
The orchestra is also open to all students in grades 9th-12th who want to serve the Lord through their instrument.

Praise Team
Our Praise Team includes the Solo, Ensemble, and Praise Team section of our Worship Ministry. It is exciting because of the tremendous calling we have to lead the way in thanksgiving, praise , and worship to the King! It is an awesome privilege with great responsibility to sing or play an instrument from the pulpit area. We are called to spread His glorious message in song!
The Praise Team is selected by auditions and must be an active member of the First Dover Choir and Orchestra. We are called to use our gifts for Him; may we be found trustworthy! (1 Cor. 4:2) Our walk with Christ and our spiritual growth are a vital part of creating the kind of ministry in which God unleashes the power of the Holy Spirit. We should take stock of where we are spiritually, and make sure we are honoring God not only with our gifts, but with our lives as well.
Media Ministry
Our Media Ministry, known as The Shelf, is open to all adults and 9-12th grade students after meeting with the Worship Pastor. The Shelf provides technical support for all church functions. This ministry is comprised of sound, lighting, ProPresenter/Powerpoint, and video. In weekly worship services, annual events, and frequent other activities, you will find this team giving their time and energy to make things happen.

IMPACT Children’s Church
Inspired Musical Praise and Creative Teaching
IMPACT is from 6-6:45 pm on Wednesday evenings.
In the IMPACT Ministry, children experience singing, playing instruments, drama, creative movement, and sign language. It is our prayer that all children come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. After doing this, we pray the children will grow to walk daily with their Lord, living lives which show honor and praise to glorify Him. It is our desire to help equip children with various ways in which they can worship the Lord so that they continue to worship Him for a lifetime.

Music Makers: 2nd & 3rd Grade
Young Musicians: 4th & 5th Grade
Drama Ministry
Our Drama Ministry’s goal is to perform skits, plays, productions, and more to enhance our worship experience by delivering messages of encouragement, joy, laughter, and above all, Jesus’ love.
