FBC Dover Youth Evangelistic Scavenger Hunt
How to Play:
• Clue leads to spot (use park map/app).
• Activity: Ride/explore (prep for wet rides!).
• Faith Conversation: 1-10 min group discussion (Bible verse included).
• Prayer: Pray boldly for listed people/groups.
• Proof: Group selfie + 1-sentence/ phrase discussion note (text to Pastor George or share via group chat or posted on fb or Insta with the #doverstudents #rtu2026).
• Prizes: Most challenges completed = free pork butt BBQ (smoked to perfection at 225°F post-170° wrap)!
Total Time: 4-6 hrs. Start at entry of Islands of Adventure
Challenge 1: Port of Entry (Entry Plaza)
Clue: Begin where adventurers first dock—the gateway to islands untold.
Activity: Explore shops like De Foto’s; observe global crowds.
Faith Conversation: God calls us to “go into all the world” (Mark 16:15). How can park visits spark Gospel talks with diverse people?
Prayer: For international visitors & missionaries (like those at Rock the Universe from Tampa churches).
Selfie Spot: Entrance arch.
Challenge 2: Marvel Super Hero Island
Clue: Land of caped crusaders battling villains.
Activity: Ride Hulk Coaster, Doom’s Fearfall, Spider-Man, or Storm Force.
Faith Conversation: Jesus, the ultimate Savior (Hebrews 7:25). What Holy Spirit “superpowers” equip us for battles?
Prayer: For firefighters, police, & military heroes.

Challenge 3: Toon Lagoon
Clue: Comic strip world with soaking water rides.
Activity: Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls or Popeye & Bluto’s Barges (get wet—ponchos!). Play at Me Ship, The Olive. Note: Ripsaw may have short past closures; check app.
Faith Conversation: Water as cleansing/new life (Matthew 3:13-17; John 4:14 “living water”). How does Jesus refresh us?
Prayer: For entertainers & media to create faith-affirming content.
Selfie Spot: Popeye statue (dripping wet!).
Challenge 4: Skull Island: Reign of Kong
Clue: Misty jungle ruled by a mighty beast—face the king!
Activity: Ride Reign of Kong.
Faith Conversation: Giants like Goliath (1 Samuel 17)—trust God’s strength over fears.
Prayer: For missionaries in dangerous places.

Challenge 5: Jurassic Park/World (Updated for 2026)
Clue: Prehistoric realm—proceed with caution (River Adventure closed!).
Activity: Ride Jurassic World VelociCoaster, Pteranodon Flyers, or Raptor Encounter. Explore Camp Jurassic.
Faith Conversation: God’s creation power (Genesis 1). How does science reveal intelligent design?
Prayer: For scientists & educators to see God’s truth.
Selfie Spot: VelociCoaster launch (no River drop—pray for its reboot!).
Challenge 6: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade
Clue: Magical village under towering castle—wands ready!
Activity: Forbidden Journey, Hagrid’s Motorbike, Hippogriff. Catch Hogwarts projection. Hogwarts Express: Check Feb closure.
Faith Conversation: Real spiritual power vs. fantasy (Ephesians 6:12). Rely on prayer, not spells.
Prayer: For those in occult/fantasy to find Christ.
Selfie Spot: Hog’s Head pub.
Challenge 7: The Lost Continent (Before Redevelopment)
Clue: Ancient ruins & myths—talk to the fountain!
Activity: Interact with Mystic Fountain (still sassy!), dine at Mythos or Fire Eater’s Grill. Poseidon’s Fury permanently closed 2023.
Faith Conversation: Myths fade; God’s Word endures (Isaiah 40:8; Eccl. 3:11). Jesus fulfills longings (John 4:13-14).
Prayer: For New Age/pagan seekers to meet Jesus.
Selfie Spot: Mystic Fountain (say “Ooga Booga!”).
Challenge 8: Seuss Landing
Clue: Colorful, rhyming world of cats & hats.
Activity: Cat in the Hat, One Fish Two Fish, Caro-Seuss-el, Trolley Train.
Faith Conversation: Childlike faith & wonder (Matthew 18:3). Embrace God’s creativity!
Prayer: For children worldwide facing hardships.

Bonus!!! Challenge 9: Bridges & Transitions (Crossroads Reflection)
Clue: Bridges linking islands—overlook the lagoon (e.g., Toon Lagoon to Skull Island).
Activity: Sit 5-10 min observing crowds. Park-to-park? Hogwarts Express if open.
Faith Conversation: New life in Christ (2 Cor. 5:17). How has God bridged your gaps?
Prayer: For friends/family at life’s crossroads to choose Jesus.
